This morning I am noticing a number of small patches developing on my right leg with no or significantly less hair than before. These aren’t quite the dramatic results I was hoping for but I am definitely feeling more positive about my purchase. Also, I understand that this sort of shedding will continue for up to another week.
Next week, I will start a second round of treatment. I think I need to suck it up and move to power Level 2 as much as possible. More pain = more breaks = more time to complete. Also, I’ll need to recharge the unit more often.
Also, I can see why it is so important to overlap the tiny circles to get the best results and I need to do a better job with that. And, again, that will add time.
So what you are saying is – this Tria really works?!
In the forum of laserenthaarung.at I could not get any feedback on this issue. I am quite sceptic when it comes to devices for home use….

Hi, Ava,
Not to be cryptic, but it depends on your definition of “works.”
Am I seeing some hairloss: yes. Is it the same as professional laser treatments: no.
Is it permanent? It’s much too soon to say one way or the other.
Anyone who claims the Tria “works” based on 1 treatment is lying. Even the company recommends at LEAST 3 treatments, separated by at least 2 weeks.
My plan is to follow the directions for the next 2.5 months and then decide whether or not I should return the product.

Hi there,
I’m a guy and am not shy in admitting that I have been thinking about buying this product to remove some hair around my shoulders and neck area. Most of the reviews I’ve read have been pretty positive unlike those for the RIO Hair Removal Kit which are largely negative. I was just wondering is it true that the product will only last 250 charges?? and is it also true that it only last 20 minutes before needing to be recharged again?? Anywhoo…appreciate you writing this blog and look forward to seeing if the product is actually worth the money! All the best!

Hi, Richard, I read that and went back to the owners’ manual. I think someone misread what they said. I’ll spell it all out in one of my next posts.
I really don’t know anything at all about the RIO system.
