Hi, Richard, I read that and went back to the owners' manual. I think someone misread what they said. I'll spell it all out in one of my next posts.

I really don't know anything at all about the RIO system.

Hi there,
I'm a guy and am not shy in admitting that I have been thinking about buying this product to remove some hair around my shoulders and neck area. Most of the reviews I've read have been pretty positive unlike those for the RIO Hair Removal Kit which are largely negative. I was just wondering is it true that the product will only last 250 charges?? and is it also true that it only last 20 minutes before needing to be recharged again?? Anywhoo...appreciate you writing this blog and look forward to seeing if the product is actually worth the money! All the best!

Hi, Ava,

Not to be cryptic, but it depends on your definition of "works."

Am I seeing some hairloss: yes. Is it the same as professional laser treatments: no.

Is it permanent? It's much too soon to say one way or the other.

Anyone who claims the Tria "works" based on 1 treatment is lying. Even the company recommends at LEAST 3 treatments, separated by at least 2 weeks.

My plan is to follow the directions for the next 2.5 months and then decide whether or not I should return the product.

So what you are saying is - this Tria really works?!
In the forum of laserenthaarung.at I could not get any feedback on this issue. I am quite sceptic when it comes to devices for home use....
